Every year, musicians and performers are featured live on stage at the Sunland-Tujunga Watermelon Festival. Bands and entertainers perform all throughout the day and into the night.

Montė Mar ( Indy Rock) Comprised of USC Thornton School of Music, CSUN music , and Berklee Music grads, Montė Mar is one of LA’s rising indy bands. They were recently picked as the featured band on Myspace Music. Their members have recorded songs that you might recognize on various television commercials ranging from Minutemaid to Volkswagen. Montė Mar members have also recorded and toured with artists such as Michael Buble, Jurassic 5, Jessie Baylin, Julianna Raye, and more. The band will be kicking off a western US tour this summer. Come see them kick off the Watermelon Festival on Friday!

These 20-something-year-olds take classic rock to a whole new level. With four part vocal harmonies and a thundering sound, The Heist rocks the very best of The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Rolling Stones, and more! These young rockers have been featured on KTLA's Morning News show, mentioned by DJs on KLOS 95.5, and have played to crowds of 4,000+. Members of The Heist have toured with Glenn Cornick of Jethro Tull, recorded with Marty Walsh of Supertramp, and shared the stage with Story of the Year, Yellowcard, Strung Out, The Matches, and more.

A Painted World consists of Travis Mersola and various collaborating musicians. Mersola, a Berklee School of Music graduate, has been impressing fans in New York, Boston, and Los Angeles for years now with his melodic voice as well as his tasteful and intricate guitar skills. Iliana Rose ( Latin Salsa, Cuban Jazz) As an accomplished piano player, percussionist, clarinetist and vocalist, Iliana Rose performs Cuban and Latin music with some of the finest session players in Los Angeles and Miami. She composes music for films, orchestrating and arranging for twenty-five piece Latin jazz bands, working as a recording engineer, producer, lyricist and is the voice behind several radio commercials. She is spontaneously funny with the audience and musically captivating. This Cuban beauty is a complete entertainer. Iliana’s band members are constantly shifting. Her performance at last year’s Watermelon Festival featured Diana Ross’ drummer and Santana’s keyboard player. The 29 MULES have a raw, riotous, soul-filled sound that is dynamic and high-energy that gets the crowd on its feet, rushing the stage and packing the floor swinging, jumping & stomping. The band has toured with Stoney LaRue and shared bills across the West with Robert Earl Keen, Hank Williams III, Bruce Robison, Asleep at the Wheel, Ryan Bingham and Delbert McClinton. It may come as a surprise to hear the foot-stomping strains of Appalachian bluegrass channeled through a rock band here in Los Angeles, but heartache, loss and regret have always been the cornerstones of great music and this city has its share. Rose’s Pawn Shop is one of LA’s hottest up and coming bands. They’ve received critical acclaim from The Daily News, About.com, Miles of Music, and Music Connection. A month after their album release, Rose's Pawn Shop showcased and won the grand prize in Billboard Magazine and Discmaker's: Independent Music World Series. They’ve been on national tours ever since.
