 Tickets for the opportunity drawing are available from members of the Lions Club, and from contestants for Watermelon Festival Queen.
A donation of $1 for a raffle ticket will be asked of everyone entering the Festival.
Tickets will be available during the Festival at the Lions Den Headquarters booth or from the Watermelon Queen and Princesses.
A donation of $1 per ticket is customary. However, you do not have to pay to participate in this drawing. A free ticket may be obtained from Lion Cookie Dapp by calling 818-353-6995.
Prize Drawings 2008
- Fourth prize of $100 will be awarded Friday night at 9:00 p.m.
- Third prize of $250 will be awarded Saturday night at 9:00 p.m.
- Second prize of $500 will be awarded Sunday night at 9:00 p.m.
- The Grand Prize of $750 will be given away on Sunday night at 9:00 p.m.
Bonus Prizes
Tickets will be drawn each evening following the drawing for the cash prizes. The winner must be present. The tickets drawn will be returned to the hopper.
- 4 tickets to a Los Angeles Dodger Game donated by the L.A. Dodgers
- 2 tickets to Disneyland donated by Disney Outreach
- 2 passes to Universal Studios Hollywood donated by Universal Studios Hollywood
- 2 tickets to the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park donated by the Zoological Society of San Diego
- 2 tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain

Tickets for these drawings may be purchased at the Festival at the Lions Den Headquarters booth (near the Watermelon Booth), from any member of the Sunland-Tujunga Lions Club, the Festival Queen or Festival Princesses. Before the Festival, support your favorite candidate for Festival Queen by buying your raffle tickets from her before August 6.
Make sure the ticket stubs with your name, address and phone number are deposited in the large hopper at the Lions Den headquarters before 9:00 p.m. each night. You do not need to be present to win the cash prizes. All drawings will be held at the Festival Stage
Trade Used Eyeglasses for a Ticket
Bring used eyeglasses to the Lions Den during the Festival and donate them to Lions Recycle for Sight. In exchange, you will receive a free raffle ticket. Be a winner in the effort to bring clear vision to people in developing countries who do not have access to vision care.
 Kids Win Bicycles!

Every child who plays arcade games in selected booths at the Watermelon Festival is eligible to win one of two bicycles! Small yellow prize tickets are given away all three days of the Festival until the final drawing. Keep one half of the ticket and drop the other half in the small hopper at the Lions Den Headquarters near to the stage.
The drawings are held Saturday and Sunday nights at 8:45 p.m. Ticket holders must be present to win.
