The Melon Pickers Hat Decorating Contest! 2006

Create a Watermelon Hat!
Make and wear any kind of hat or headgear that looks like a watermelon, is made of watermelon fabric, is knitted, knotted or crocheted, or is decorated with watermelon designs, watermelon appliqués, plastic or fabric watermelons, and/or embroidered watermelons.
It may be made from scratch or you may use any ready-made hat as a base.
- Divisions : Adults and Juveniles (5-15) Judging will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday
- Prizes for Beauty, for Craftsmanship and for Creativity will be awarded Sunday, August 13, at 4 p.m. on the Melon Patch Stage
- Model your hat on-stage at 4:00 p.m. Sunday when there will be judging for the Favorite Hat by popular acclaim.
