	5:00 p.m.		The 47th Annual Lions Watermelon Festival Opens

	5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.		Young Talent Showcase presents young bands playing Experimental and Hard Rock music featuring each band's original music

	8:45 p.m.		Drawing for $100 prize (Winner does not need to be present)

	9:00 p.m.		Petting Zoo and Pony Rides close

	10:30 p.m.		Entertainment ends; Marketplace closes

	10:45 p.m.		Carnival, game booths and Food Court close for the day

	11:00 p.m.		Festival closes for the day


	Saturday August 9, 2008
	12:00 p.m.		Festival Opens

	12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.		Live entertainment on stage

	2:00 p.m.		Watermelon Eating Contest at the Spitway Sponsored by the S-T Rotary Club


	4:00 p.m.		Petting Zoo and Pony Rides open

	8:00 p.m.		Coronation of the Watermelon Festival Queen and the Court by Councilwoman Wendy

	8:45 p.m.		Drawing for Kid's Bicycle donated by Kemsley Shows Winner must be present to win

	9:00 p.m.		Drawing for prize of $250 (Winner does not need to be present)

	10:30 p.m.		Marketplace closes

	11:00 p.m.		Entertainment ends

	11:00 p.m.		Carnival, game booths, and food booths close for the day

	11:30 p.m.		Festival Closed for the day


	Sunday August 10, 2008
	12:00 p.m.		Festival Opens
			Carnival, game booths, Marketplace, International Food Court open

	12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.		Live entertainment on stage

	2:00 p.m.		Watermelon Eating Contest at the Spitway Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sunland-Tujunga

	3:00 p.m.		Bicycle John's Bicycle Fun Race

	4:00 p.m.		Petting Zoo and Pony Rides open

	8:45 p.m.		Drawing for Kid's Bicycle donated by Kemsley Shows (Must be present to win)

	9:00 p.m.		Pony Rides and Petting Zoo close

	9:00 p.m.		Tickets will be drawn for the second prize of $500 and the Grand prize of $750! (Winner does not need to be present)

	10:00 p.m.		Entertainment ends
			Game booths and Marketplace close

	10:15 p.m.		Carnival and Food Court closes

	10:30 p.m.		The Watermelon Festival Is Closed. See you in 2009 on August 7-8-9 at the 48th Annual Watermelon Festival!
